Change Mechanisms and Individualized Therapy

At the Mental Health World Conference (MHWC 2026), this session brings together clinical psychologists, psychotherapists, researchers, and behavioral scientists to explore the latest evidence on effective therapeutic approaches and how interventions can be tailored to individual patient characteristics. Presentations will highlight digital applications, process-based therapies, and real-time tracking of client responses.

During the conference, special attention will be paid to analyzing the nature of change in therapy. This includes aspects such as emotional regulation, cognitive restructuring, behavioral activation, and alliance. Experts will highlight the importance of understanding key mechanisms to help therapists design their approach to clients based on their individual characteristics and adapt treatment programs.

In addition, the use of modern technologies to monitor therapy progress and adapt to the specific needs of certain clients will receive special attention. It is planned to discuss the application of mobile apps, wearable technology, and artificial intelligence to build feedback systems. Another important issue is the connection between theory and practice. In particular, the discussion of theoretical models and their practical advantages is expected.
