At the Mental Health World Conference (MHWC 2026), this session brings together child psychiatrists, school counsellors, public health professionals, and youth advocates to examine emerging trends in young people’s mental health. Topics include digital interventions, early identification, prevention strategies, and case studies from global mental health initiatives and school-based mental health programs.
This panel discussion will further discuss the influence of social media platforms, screen time, and cyberbullying on the mental health of adolescents. Tele-mental health services and digital mental health interventions will be among the critical issues discussed. Other areas that will be discussed include recent advances in assessment and evidence-based treatment interventions for mental disorders like anxiety, depression, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and behavioral disorders. Other issues that will be discussed in this session include the influence of family dynamics and parenting styles on the mental health of children and adolescents.
We will focus on strengthening integrated care models that connect healthcare systems, educational institutions, and community services. Attendees will use case studies, research findings, and practical insights to gain actionable knowledge to prevent, identify early, and support long-term mental well-being among children and adolescents in an increasingly complex world.
